Nelson Police are investigating an incident in the early hours of Sunday morning in which a Richmond couple awoke to find an unknown person in their bedroom.
The incident happened about 3am in the Gladstone Road area. The person left when the couple woke. Police were called shortly after but the person was not located. The only description available at this stage is an adult male of small build.
Police would like to hear from anyone who has information about this incident or has witnessed any suspicious behaviour in the Richmond area. Police also advise people to ensure their doors are locked at night.
