UPDATED: Search and rescue teams have found the German tramper that they were concerned about in the Richmond Ranges.
Police say they’ve received “good information” from members of the public during the search for Esther Gehrmann.
The woman was located about 3.30pm today in the vicinity of Roebuck Hut in the Mt Richmond Ranges.
She has been taken for medical treatment.
The search began after she left a message in the Mt Starveall hut log on Tuesday, March 10, the content of which has raised some concerns for her welfare.
Police said they wanted to thank the LandSAR volunteers who have searched for the woman. Police are also “very grateful” to the trampers who raised the alarm and those people who have come forward with information that has been invaluable in guiding the search process.
