It’s been a year since Richmond’s street piano was introduced to Sundial Square and what better way to celebrate than with a mini concert.
Some talented local musicians set up outside Ambrosia cafe on Saturday to play a handful of songs for those with the time to sit down and listen and those just passing by.
Dai Minamizawa did the street piano justice with some skilled finger work, and was joined by Adrian Kinsford, Neville Claughton, Iain Clark, Ron Weiss and Adele Terrill.
Those behind the musical initiative said that it’s been great seeing the amount of talent out there, especially in the younger generation; they also wished to thank Subway for taking care of the piano. Diane Morriss, Ken Morriss and George Ballantyne were amongst those enjoying the tunes, saying they thought the piano was a great idea for Richmond and had come out especially to see the performance.
