Brittany Dick is the Waimea College Dux for 2015.
The 17-year-old Richmond student was named Dux at the school senior academic prizegiving on Wednesday. She had earlier been awarded prizes for Classical Studies, the Deanna Waters Cup for Media Studies and the Senior Languages Cup.
Sami Jordan was named Proxime Accessit while Ben Karalus and Hal Sellers shared the Principal’s Award for Academic Excellence. Katie Thompson was awarded the Janet Hunt Cup for General Excellence for Girls while Elliott Kennedy won the K Anderson Cup for General Excellence for Boys.
After the prizegiving, the top scholars joined the rest of the year 13 students in taking the traditional plunge ion the school pool.
