Nelson Under-17 goal shoot Tali Uia was named in the national age-group tournament team at the event in Rangiora yesterday.
Nelson finished 22nd out of 40 teams, with Tali one of only two South Island players named in the team.
Russells Curtains Nelson beat Horowhenua, but lost to North Harbour and Christchurch A in pool play.
The Nelson College for Girls shooter impressed throughout the tournament.
Wellington A Black won the tournament, the same team Nelson had lost to in the final of a North Island invitational tournament earlier this year.
