Graeme Wallace certainly knows how to draw a crowd.
The Atawhai resident’s ‘s 2009 Chevrolet Corvette z06 was just one of the many American muscle cars on display during the Nelson City Rod & Custom Club’s Independence Day Cruise but it was easily the most talked about.
Graeme personally handpicked the limited edition car from the United States. It is one of 7000 made in 2009.
It has a 7L engine, 700 horse power and an aluminium chassis. The Corvette can reach speeds of up 350kph and does 0-100kph in just 3.6 seconds. Graeme has not used the Corvette to its full potential but he was content with keeping to the speed limits as the ‘hot rods’
The cruise took drivers from the Nelson Suburban Club through to Kaiteriteri beach and back through the Moutere Valley. All money raised from the cruise went towards St John Ambulance.
