Last year the Tahunanui Bowls Club urged people to come down and play socially, with its “Mates in Bowls” competition.
It’s success means the mates are back.
The Mates in Bowls competition is for businesses, service clubs, friends, neighbourhood groups, whoever wants to come and play social bowls once a week for five weeks.
The competition is played on a Thursday night from February 13 until March 13. The club provides the bowls, coaching and fun, and organiser Peter Goodman says its great fun. “It’s teams of three and you don’t need to have any experience. It’s great fun and a good way to spend an evening.”
