This year’s Stepping Out couldn’t have gone off any better than it did last Sunday, say its organisers.
The event was all about getting out and about and exploring Tahuna, being active and trying new things.
Community development facilitator Jo Lavington, was thrilled with the turn out to the event which, after four years, is still going strong.
“It went really well, the weather was stunning and we had really good participation numbers at all the activities.”
Stepping Out in Tahuna is “a great day out for the family”, with the opportunity to take part in several of the activities that the Tahunanui community has to offer, says Jo.
It didn’t matter if you’d never played bowls before or had never even heard of disc golf, it was all available for free on Sunday.
The end of the day was also celebrated with around 20 prize draws, thanks to the generosity of local Tahunanui businesses.
