Port Nelson will be busy today with a number of arrivals and departures from various types of vessels.

At 1am the Amaltal Enterprise local fishing vessel will berthed at Amatal Fisheries carrying fish from sea.

At 2am the Bacchante will be birthing at the Lay Up Berth 3 carrying frozen fish from From Sea.

At 7.30pm The Adria Ace car carrier will be birthing at the McGlashen Quay South carrying vehicles from Lyttelton. She is a young ship built in 2009 and flies the flag of the Bahamas.

The Ningpo PAC Container Vessel departed the Main Wharf South carrying containers to Tauranga at 12.30am.

The Pacific Hope log vessel will be departing the Kingsford Quay carrying containers at 1am.

At 12.30pm the Trans Future 6 NSA processed forestry vessel will be departing the McGlashen Quay South carrying containers to Osaka, Japan.

At 1.30pm The Eagle will be departing the Amatal Fisheries.

The last departure is at 4pm with The Bacchante departing the Lay Up Berth 3
