A fire has destroyed another Nelson home, this time on St Lawrence St.
The two-storey home was extensively damaged and an elderly person was hospitalised after the fire that started around 3am.
Three people living in the house all made it out safely and were checked by ambulance staff at the scene reported NZME, with an elderly person hospitalised.
It’s the third major house fire in the region in the past few weeks.
