Nelsonlive.co.nz has been running for three weeks now and each week we select the best news tip, photo or video that has been sent into us and give the person who sent it $50 cash. Simple as that.
Our first winner was Tina Guy who sent us a photo of an elderly man on his scooter driving on the road. The second week we gave $50 to Mic Heynekamp who was the first to tell us about the Stoke house fire. Mic has asked us to pass the money onto the Morris family who lost their home – good on ya Mic.
The winner of this week’s $50 cash was Angela Newby. She spotted a car that crashed into a lamp post on Wakefield Quay on Tuesday and let us know. Her husband Carl came to pick up the cash for her on Thursday.
