A man has been arrested after a customer of a Bridge St bar said they had a pistol pointed at them.
Police said today that a 52 year old Nelson man was arrested last night after the incident, which was also witnessed by a staff member, who called police.
“When police arrived the offender was located in a subsequent search he was found to be in possession of an air gun (pistol), tomahawk and a tyre iron, along with cannabis,” said police.
The man will appear in the Nelson District Court today charged with firearms and cannabis related offences.
