The footbridge across Saltwater Creek from Haven Rd in Nelson to the Trafalgar Centre will be closed from Tuesday, October 13 until late December, due to earthquake strengthening work taking place at the Trafalgar Centre.
This footbridge will be closed 24 hours a day. Pedestrians can take an alternative route via Queen Elizabeth Drive and across the footbridge to the new walk and cycle path along the Maitai River.
Foot traffic on this bridge is restricted to maximum of 10 people at a time.
