Wanderers continued its unbeaten run in the Tasman Trophy and first round of the Car Company Nelson Bays division one championship in Stoke today.
Taylor’s Contracting Wanderers downed Stoke 47-18 at Greenmeadows, while Waimea Old Boys notched its first win of the season with a 29-22 win over Kahurangi. The win came despite a late charge from the hosts at Sportspark Motueka.
In a clash of the two city teams, Wakatu Hotel Marist beat rivals Galbraith Nelson 26-11.
In the Car Company second division, Nelson beat Marist 28-5, Huia and Waimea drew 24-all, Wanderers beat Stoke 32-12 and Collingwood beat Rangers 67-5.
