For decades it was a popular subject for keen photographers but the iconic old farmhouse on the Appleby Highway has now met a fiery end in a controlled demolition.
The fire was started earlier this morning and attracted a number of onlookers.
The owner of the house had previously announced the building would be brought down, in order to utilise the land it occupied, but had not confirmed a demolition date.
Three fire trucks did attend the scene to oversee the burn.
