Milestone Homes Top of the South Speedway is about to light up the sky with its annual Coca-Cola fireworks display on Saturday night. It’s Nelson’s biggest fireworks event of the year and the action on the track promises to be just as competitive as some of the region’s best speedway racers search for silverware.
It is the club’s busiest meeting of the year with real family atmosphere ensuring a fantastic night for both young and old.
There is plenty happening racing-wise with the Trackman Trophies for midgets and productions taking place. The stockcars have a best pairs event with super stocks vying for the Dave Scott Memorial Trophy.
It will pay to be early on Saturday, the road entry by the pits is closed before the meeting but will be open for exiting and there is no parking on the road.
People can meet the drivers before and after racing and grab a photo with their favourite driver.
