A high-speed two car collision has left passengers just minor injuries at Brightwater this morning.
The crash occurred when one of the cars failed to give way at the intersection of Ellis St and River Terrace Rd and State Highway 6 at about 10am and collided with a car travelling north towards Nelson.
Senior constable Steve Arnold says it appears the car travelling to Brightwater failed to give way at the intersection and collided with the north-bound car. The driver and passenger of the car that failed to give way were from overseas and were scheduled to leave the country on Wednesday, he says.
One of the cars ended up with a street sign poking through its windscreen.
