Nelson Police are looking for information after a cyclist was injured after hitting debris on Haven Road, Beachville.
The incident happened at around 10.30am this morning near the BP truck stop on Haven Road.
The man has hit two pieces of concrete while riding in the cycling lane.
After hitting the concrete, he fell from his bike and has now been taken to hospital where he is being treated for his injuries.
A hospital spokesperson says the man is now in a stable condition.
Police believe the concrete has come from a ute or vehicle with a trailer and would like to hear from anyone who has seen a vehicle in the area with a load of concrete on the back.
It is thought that the debris was only lost on the road this morning and would have come from a vehicle heading east on Haven Road towards the intersection that takes traffic to Nelson and Blenheim.
Anyone with information is asked to call Nelson Police on 03 545 9869.
